The proprietary methodology used with our clients was developed to produce breakthrough results in a single session. The unique approach empowers a new level of personal freedom, peace of mind, self-awareness, and removes many constraints the past imposes on our view of life. Rather than endlessly analyzing you, your past, and diving into the details of your current circumstances, we take a light and fresh approach. We are looking not at what you think about yourself or your life, but rather at the experience of life itself. Rather than dealing with you, we find ourselves looking together at the experience of life around you since this is what you are responding to and gives rise to the way in which you are acting and being life.
Consider that there is a significant difference between your thoughts about yourself and your life, your actual experience emotionally, and reality itself. Have you ever noticed that you can feel guilty or ashamed when you know that you did nothing wrong? Have you noticed that you can feel "not good enough" when in reality you are more than competent? What is the impact of having these powerful emotions, especially when they do not accurately characterize the truth? Take a moment to consider that feelings of being not good enough, fear of failure, disappointment, being alone or abandoned, fears of conflict, fear of embarrassment, feelings of being misunderstood, feelings of guilt/shame, are all powerful emotional experiences that provoke a profound sense of confusion and underlying notion that there is "something wrong with me". Confusion leads to experiences of being paralyzed or stuck emotionally or circumstantially where our mind becomes constrained, and we have great difficulty with problem solving or seeing what is possible.
Have you noticed that you talk to yourself? Have you noticed that you rely heavily on analyzing when you are in a stressed state? Have you noticed that the more stressed you become, the more analytical you become? Have you ever found yourself stuck in your "head" listening to your thoughts? What is that experience like for you?
The idea that analyzing oneself is useful is a fallacy as its analyzing that creates a state of paralysis, anxiety, confusion, and is the very reason we lose our ability to be aware.
Self-awareness starts when we stop analyzing and simply acknowledge the experience of life. Analyzing is an effort to escape your experience, dismiss your experience, fix your experience, strategize your way out of your current state of mind, where the irony is that analytical thinking is also the cause of the same experience you are attempting to evade. You don't like being stuck in your thoughts, stressed, confused, and disconnected.
Awareness Vs Knowledge, the myth of psychology:
Do you remember the first experience of riding a bicycle? How much knowledge did you need to ride the bicycle? How much would having knowledge impact your ability to ride the bicycle? You could get a PHD in physics or human anatomy, and how much would your education help you in learning balance? How much did learning how to balance on a bicycle impact your knowledge or understanding of balance?
When in comes to the human experience, self-awareness is riding the bicycle while psychology is studying bicycles. When it comes to the actual experience of yourself in your life, how much does your knowledge matter when you are stressed? Have you ever noticed that when you are having a challenging time, you feel worst when you actually consider how much you know? That having knowledge about psychology helps explain your past, but how does that impact you in the moments in which you actually are living your life? How does your understanding work when you are being "guilt tripped"? The awareness of yourself and the understanding of yourself and your past exist in two distinct domains of your mind, and they are entirely exclusive. Understanding is what you do when you lack awareness, as a compensation for confusion. This is why we experience so much disappointment when we invest in understanding. Psychology helps you understand and explain yourself, while self-awareness helps you experience reality and obtain peace of mind and freedom. You don't need knowledge to gain self-awareness, and the pursuit of knowledge does not in any way impact your awareness. Understanding is subjective and made up to be logical, while being aware doesn't require anything aside from accurate observation.
Our coaching teaches the simple art of self-awareness and letting go to the elements of your experience that we find to be not only inauthentic and inaccurate but significantly constraining on your mind and overall experience of life. This is why ONE session will be more meaningful than a lifetime of studying psychology or participating in any form of psychoanalysis!
